  • Scorpios Encounters is an unprecedented experimental cultural programme presenting a comprehensive curated selection of generative artists and musicians. The inaugural edition titled 'In Resonance' ran for 7 weeks (13 July - 3  September) at Scorpios, Mykonos, and featured curated art installations with bespoke music compositions, live musical performances and exclusive digital art drops.

    13 JULY | HEADLINE - REFIK ANADOL & YAWANAWA 
    Award-winning media artist, Refik Anadol and the Yawanawa community, indigenous to the Brazilian Amazon, co-created an exclusive collection of digital artworks reflecting the Yawanawa’s connection with the forest and responds to real-time data from the Amazon rainforest.

    23 JULY | IVONA TAU & JEAN CLAUDE ADES
    Leading AI artist Ivona Tau and musician Jean Claude Ades collaborate on a digital artwork that uses light data collected from the island of Delos, neighbouring Mykonos.

    25 JULY | HUGO JOHNSON & BEDOUIN
    Hugo Johnson and music duo Bedouin create Zorba, an art collaboration that uses geographic data to reimagine extreme weather patterns as human beings with unique identities.

    04 AUGUST | ORKHAN & LANNKA
    Pioneering media artist Orkhan and Scorpios’ own Lannka collaborate on a collection combining Lannka’s distinctive take on ancient rhythms and folkloric sounds, and Orkhan’s AI-driven artworks that look to Middle Eastern cultural heritage. 
     
    10 AUGUST | JASON SIMS & SATORI
    Artist Jason Sims and musician Satori unveil their co-created immersive artwork inspired by natural systems, consisting of one unique art piece and an edition of digital collectable artworks.

    24 AUGUST | AGORIA
    Multidisciplinary artist and DJ, Agoria reveals his new generative artwork exploring data of the sunsets captured from Scorpios Mykonos.
